Regarding the extended duration of the enforced Act on the Measures and Actions during the State of Emergency declared by virtue of Resolution of the National Assembly dated 13 March 2020, the domain names with expired date of validity shall be suspended in accordance with the expiration periods, published in the Terms and conditions for domain name registration and support in the .bg zone and the sub-zones (Terms and conditions). The periods, specified in it. 9.3.1. and it. 9.3.3. of the Terms and conditions, are prolonged respectively by 20 days (under it. 9.3.1.) and 30 days (under it. 9.3.3.) as of the cancellation date of the state of emergency.

Regarding the enforced Act on the Measures and Actions during the State of Emergency declared by virtue of Resolution of the National Assembly dated 13 March 2020, the domain names with expired date of validity shall be suspended in accordance with the expiration periods, published in the Terms and conditions for domain name registration and support in the .bg zone and the sub-zones (Terms and conditions), as from 25 March 2020, during the state of emergency the periods, specified in it. 9.3.1. and it. 9.3.3. of the Terms and conditions, are extended with 20 days.

For the holders of digital signature certificates, issued by accredited certificate authorities (CAs) from all countries of the European Union, Register.BG Ltd. starts accepting documents, signed with digital signature certificates in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 910/2014.

Currently, in addition to the certificates issued by the CAs from the Republic of Bulgaria, in the registration system of Register.BG are experimentally on-line accepted documents, signed with the certificates of the following CAs:

• eIdentity, Czech Republic (https://www.eidentity.cz/);
• First Certification Authority (První certifikační autorita, a.s.), Czech Republic (https://www.ica.cz/english);
• National Registers Authority (Národní certifikační autorita), Czech Republic (https://www.narodni-ca.cz/);
• The Czech Post (Česká pošta, s.p.), Czech Republic (https://www.ceskaposta.cz/en/index);
• Telecom Italia Trust Technologies S.r.l., Italy (https://www.trusttechnologies.it/).

The holders of certificates, issued by other CAs, can send their signed applications (for domain name registration and/or for change) by e-mail at: hostmaster@register.bg.

29.06.2019 is the due date for registration of online stores that receive payments in cash according to Regulation N-18 of the Ministry of Finance, which defines the standard of payments in cash.

Compliance with the provisions of this regulation requires a significant change of the system for domain name registration and support as well as allocation of considerable resources for meeting the defined requirements in the regulation. This would inevitably lead to an increase of the cost of the provided services.

In order to avoid the increase in the price of the provided services, we would like to inform you that on 28.06.2019 Register.BG Ltd. shall stop accepting payments which, according to Regulation N-18, are considered "payments in cash" to Register.BG Ltd.

Payment of the services can be done via any of the following methods:

• Via bank transfer;
• Online via ePay as a registered user;
• In cash at an EasyPay pay desk;
• Via an ATM (B-Pay).

From 23.11.2018 (afternoon) to 26.11.2018 inclusive, a prophylaxis is planned of the systems for domain name registration and support, located at https://bg.register.bg and at https://www.register.bg.

Ended the second sealed-bid auction procedure for registration of two-character domain names under .bg, consisting of a digit and an ASCII letter; an ASCII letter and a digit; or two digits. The 4m.bg domain name is registered.
The acceptance of documents by Register.BG for the next auction session started and will continue to the end of the working day on 12.09.2018. Opening of the documents will be performed on 14.09.2018.

The first sealed-bid auction procedure for registration of two-character domain names under .bg, consisting of a digit and an ASCII letter; an ASCII letter and a digit; or two digits, ended on 01.03.2018. The first registered domain names are 2u.bg, 4u.bg, and a1.bg.

During year 2018, Register.BG will offer registration of two-character domain names under .bg, consisting of a digit and a letter from the Latin alphabet; a letter from the Latin alphabet and a digit; or two digits. The domain names will be registered to the winners in a sealed-bid auction. Започна нормалната работа на регистрите. Наред с обработката на домейните, заявени в началния (sunrise) период, може свободно да се извършва заявяване и регистрирация на незаети имена.

Завърши въвеждането на резервираните-защитени за държавата имена. В областта .бг са създадени заявки за регистрация на домейните на кирилица (IDN) от областта .bg, заявени и регистрирани преди началния (sunrise) период.
В момента се извършва сортиране и арбитриране на дублираните домейни.
Системите за регистрация на домейни на кирилица в областите .бг и .bg ще работят само с еднократно-заявени домейни до приключване на процеса по сортиране и арбитриране.

Поради голямата активност на държавни, общински, неправителствени и корпоративни организации в процеса на заявяване на домейни на кирилица в областите .бг и .bg, началният (sunrise) период за запазване на интернет имена се удължава до края на месец май. През този период Министерството на транспорта, информационните технологии и съобщенията, в диалог с държавните институции, подготвя списъка със "защитени" имена за нуждите на държавата.

We would like to inform you that regarding the start of the registration process of Cyrillic names in the .бг top level zone, the names which can be registered in the .bg top level zone, are provided for registration to one and the same registrant. The processing of these names is realized simultaneously in both registries as a couple domains.
Requesting domains with Cyrillic names or with digits only, and/or with digits and the '-' sign is available at: https://bg.register.bg. During the sunrise period for domain name request and registration, the domains which are requested with these names and which are not in the protected list, shall be placed in the waiting list of the .бг registry.

На 08.02.2017г. стартира началният (sunrise) период за заявяване и регистрация на домейни на кирилица в областта .бг. Периодът е с продължителност три месеца. Целта е да се осигури "спокоен" период за заявяване на имена на кирилица в областта .бг. През този период в регистрите на областите .bg и .бг, при заявяване домейните с имена, които не попадат в списъка със защитени имена, се поставят в опашката за изчакване.

On 02.02.2011 Register.BG, as a register of the .bg ccTLD, was approved as a member of the ccNSO (country code Names Supporting Organisation), which is a body within the ICANN structure. The ccNSO is created for and by ccTLD managers.

Results from the poll "Fast track process for creating a new country code top-level domain in Cyrillic (IDN ccTLD Fast Track)", conducted by Register.BG during the period 12.11.2009 – 06.01.2010.

On the occasion of the 20^th anniversary of offering internet services in Bulgaria, in the new 2010 Register.BG and Digital Systems, with the support of the Government, will provide to all students in the country the opportunity of free registration and one-year support service for a domain name in the .bg zone or the sub-zones, along with DNS hosting, e-mail, and web hosting. In addition, when the management of the .бг zone is delegated to Register.BG, the same offer shall be valid for this zone as well. The initiative aims to promote the internet domain names in the national internet space and to help significantly reduce the registration and annual support fee for the domain names after completion of the free period.

On 15.10.2009 successfully completed the tests of the system developed by Register.BG for performing the REGISTRAR functions of Internet domain names in the .bg zone and the sub-zones via specialized interface to the registration system. From 05.09.2009 Register.BG expands the registration services for domain names in the .bg zone and the sub-zones by giving the opportunity to register Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs) in Cyrillic. The registration of the IDNs requires the Internet name to be written only in Cyrillic and to contain at least one letter, which can be visually distinguished from the Latin alphabet (one of the letters: б, г, д, ж, и, й, л, п, ф, ц, ч, ш, щ, ъ, ь, ю, я). From September 8th to September 10th an International conference for ccTLD registries and registrars from CIS, Central and Eastern Europe took place in Grand Hotel Sofia, Sofia, with the special participation of ICANN. Register.BG has extended the possibilities for domain name setup in the .bg zone and the sub-zones, allowing the DNS setup to be realized with IP addresses in IPv6 format as well.

Register.BG has extended the possibilities for domain name registration in the .bg zone, allowing the registrants on their own risk to register domain names without providing grounds for the name. In order to solve potential disputes between registrants and domain name applicants, Register.BG establishes a Dispute committee. Successfully completed the 60-day period of the integration of the automated DNSSEC administration interface in the .bg zone and the sub-zones. On 29.08.2007 Register.BG provided the users access to DNSSEC interface which allows each domain registrant to manage and setup DNSSEC using digital signature certificate.
Register.BG is the first TLD registry in the world that has introduced a technology for automated DNSSEC management and setup. The DNSSEC service is provided by Register.BG without an extra fee.

Successfully completed the 45 day period of introduction of DNSSEC in the .bg zone and the sub-zones.
On 15.01.2007 Register.BG signed the .bg zone and the sub-zones and thus became the second registry in the world to sign its TLD zone for DNSSEC after the Swedish registry .....

Register.BG lets registrants with digital signature certificates to setup their domains online.

Register.BG introduces on-line payment for registration and renewal of domain names using the ePay.bg.

Register.BG expands the levels for domain names, while preserving usual possibility to register domains in top-level domain .bg.
The new sub-zones are:
.a.bg ... .z.bg .0.bg ... .9.bg
There are no grounds required for the choice of the label of the domain names in the sub-zones.
Register.BG will allow owners of digital signature certificate to use the full functionality of the system.
